Most of us watch videos on YouTube a lot. Sometimes we want them downloaded on our computer as well. But YouTube doesn’t allow its users to download their videos directly. There are many other ways to download and watch your favorite videos from YouTube. I’ll be discussing one of those ways today. YoLoader solves all our problems regarding video downloading from YouTube.

YoLoader is a freeware which works on almost all operating systems from XP to Vista, 7. Even 64-bit operating systems as well. It’s an easy to use small tool which requires nothing but just the link of the video and the Download Location (where you will download the video). Instructions on how to do so are mentioned below:

Instructions:

First of all, download YoLoader. (64-Bit users, download the 64-bit version here.)

Secondly, run it.

Place the URL of the video you want to download in the address bar and click on Add.

After adding the link, the program will automatically queue it for download. All you need to do now, is click on Download to download the video.

You can add more links at one time by adding some other URLs the same way we did for the first one.

The downloaded video will go to the root directory C:\ by default. You can change the Download Location by clicking on “…” button. And that’s about it. You’re done.

So today I will be covering a Photoshop tutorial. I guess that’s the easiest way to start blogging since I’m really good at editing stuff. Now a lot of people ask me everyday that how I totally change the designing on my shirt (along with the color). The method of doing so is quite simple but it’s really annoying when you have to tell everyone separately. So I hope everyone finds this tutorial helpful. I will be using Photoshop CS5 for this but this can be easily done in CS3 and CS4 too.

So the first thing that we need to do is to find a good photo to edit. I will be using one that I found on Google. You can see the original picture and the edited one below:

First of all, we need to change the background layer into a simple one. Double-click on the layer and click OK when the dialog box appears.

Now make a selection of the shirt by using the tool which you prefer is the best for your image. I made my selection using the Quick Selection Tool.

Once the shirt is selected, copy it and paste it in a new document (keeping the dimensions same as that of the selected shirt).Keep a copy of it in the Original document as well.

Delete the Background layer and Desaturate the pasted image by pressing Shift+Ctrl+U or by going to Image > Adjustments > Desaturate

Now save the document in the default .PSD format.

Return to your original document and now paste the image that you want to be placed on your shirt and place it correctly just above your shirt. Keep that in mind that it Must have the same dimensions as that of the shirt.

Now we need to Displace the pasted image to make it look realistic. Go to Filter > Distort > Displace. Use the settings as shown below:

After clicking OK, Photoshop will ask you to open a Displacement File. Open the .PSD file of the Shirt that we saved earlier.

Once the pasted image is Displaced, Select that displaced layer and click on the shirt layer’s (that we copied back in Step 3) thumbnail. This will make a selection of the shirt only.

Right-click on the selection (make sure you are using a Selection tool while clicking) and Select Inverse. Then press Delete to delete all the extra part of the image.

Now change the Blending Mode of the pasted image to Multiply, Overlay or Hard Light (or anything that suits your image best). I selected Color Burn on my image.

You’re Done. Hope this was helpful.

Many people which are new to the internet or maybe who are new to computers don’t know how to play all sorts of video/audio files on their PC. There are many different sorts of video/audio files that the pre-installed Windows Media Player can’t play. Files such as .flv, .3gp, .mkv, etc. can’t be played on Windows Media Player (upto 11). Windows Media Player 12 can play .3gp and a few more files than its previous versions. Whenever we try to play such files in Windows Media Player, the following dialog box appears.

Then how to watch/listen these video/audio files on your PC? These files are actually playable but they require their appropriate codecs.

A codec is a software capable of encoding/encoding digital data stream. The word codec is formed by the combination of the words “coder-decoder”. These codecs can be found on the internet, available for download. So people can install them and watch videos of any format or listen to music of any format. Sites like free-codecs.com provide download to one of the most used Codec Collection for play all sorts of videos/audio. The name of the collection is K-Lite Codec Pack, which makes it possible for the operating system to run various video or audio formats.

With the codecs, it also includes programs like Media Player Classic, and other tools. Media Player Classic is a media player used to play video/audio files of various formats.

Six different forms of K-Lite Codec Pack are available:

Basic: The smallest pack which is only capable of playing .mkv, .ogg, .flv, .mp4 files and some of the AVI files.

Standard: This pack has all the features of the Basic pack. In addition to this, it enables DVD Playback and also includes Media Player Classic.

Corporate: The corporate version doesn’t include 5 of the components present in the Full pack. It uses a different DVD Video Decoder.

Full: This pack has all the 31 components needed to play almost all the video/audio files.

Mega: Mega Pack is a combination of Full pack, RealAlternative and additional 14 components not present in any other pack.

64-Bit: This pack includes 64-bit codecs for 64-bit operating systems.

I’d recommend everyone to download the Mega pack to play their video/audio files without any problem. Follow the instructions below to download/install the K-Lite Codec Mega Pack.

The setup offers the user here to perform some additional tasks according to their needs. If you’re not sure about anything here then leave the default settings and move on.

I’ve seen and heard many people having problems with installing drivers for their Xbox 360 Wired Controller in Windows XP. They work in Vista, Windows 7 perfectly. But many people are facing problems to do the same in XP. So in this tutorial, I’m going to share a way to perform this task in Windows XP. I hope it works for you, cause it did for me. I used Windows XP SP3, and most of the people facing this problem are also using SP3.

Note: Since I’m not using Windows XP at the moment, I may not be able to post all the pictures for this tutorial, but if you read and follow all the steps carefully, you won’t need them.

Installing the Driver

Step 1: First thing you’re going to need is the Driver, you can download it here.

Step 2: Secondly, when you run the setup, a dialog box shall appear saying that you need SP1 or SP2 to install the driver.

So right-click on the Xbox360Eng.exe and click on “Extract to Xbox360Eng\…”.

(For this option to appear you’ll need WinRar installed in your computer, download it here.)

Step 3: Open the folder “XBOX360Eng\Xbox360\Setup” and you’ll see two files there:

1) Xbox-360-CC-x64-ENU.EXE (This is for 64-Bit OS)

2) Xbox-360-CC-x86-ENU.EXE (This is for 32-bit OS)

Right-click on the 64-Bit one if you have 64-bit Windows, or right-click on the other one and click on “Extract to Xbox-360-CC-x86-ENU\…”

Step 4: Now plug in your controller in to the computer and wait for “Add New Hardware..” window to appear. When it does, use the Advanced Installation mode, and include this folder in search for the drivers “Xbox360Eng\Xbox360\Setup\Xbox-360-CC-x86-ENU\”. Press next and it will install the driver itself.

Basically, the reason these drivers don’t work when you run the setup is, the setup checks the version of the Windows you’re using. These are for SP1 and SP2, but they can also work on SP3, cause its not a different OS. I used it myself. I hope this was helpful for you.

With other tutorials and posts, I will be doing Photoshop tutorials as well. As eHowis.com is about, learning how is just about everything is done. So today I’ll be discussing a technique; How to smoothen and lighten your skin in Adobe Photoshop. This method will work in most of the Photoshop versions such as CS3, CS4 or CS5. But I’ll be using CS5 for this tutorial. I’ve seen many people trying to lighten their skin tone in Photoshop. Trying different things. I’ve also seen many tutorials but none has worked well. In this tutorial, I won’t be teaching you how to change your skin tone from black to white. But the technique I’m about to discuss, will definitely make it better. So, be patient, and see the final results below. And the other thing that I’ll be showing in this tutorial is how to smoothen your skin like the editors do in Magazines and stuff. So the first thing that we need for editing or manipulating a photo in Photoshop is a photo itself. For this tutorial please follow some steps below , I’ll be using a photo shown below.

The image below shows the original and the final results after the editing of the photo.

Step 1: First thing we need to do is double click the Background Layer and make it a regular Layer by pressing enter after a dialog box appears.

Step 2: Duplicate this layer by pressing Ctrl+J or right-click on the layer and click on Duplicate Layer.

Step 3: Now go to the Filters menu and in the Blur menu click on Surface Blur.

The settings might be a little different on your photo.

Step 4: After the completion of Step 3, make the original layer invisible and erase everything in the layer you just applied Surface Blur except the skin. Even erase the lips, eyes, eyebrows, etc; all we want is skin, nothing else.

After erasing, make the original layer visible again and lessen the opacity of the upper layer a bit so that it looks more realistic.

Step 5: Now merge both the layers by selecting both of them. To select both of them hold Ctrl and click on both the layers. Then to merge them, press Ctrl+E or right-click on the layer and click on Merge Layers.

Step 6: Now that the skin is smoother, all we need to do is lighten it. For this purpose, go to Image>>Adjustment>>Selective Color

.

When the dialog appears, remember that your settings might be a bit different according to the color of your skin. For changing skin color, first alter the settings in Reds first and don’t forget to use the White-Black bar. I recommend you use it up to -25 to -30.

Do the same in Yellows. When you’re done, press OK.

And that’s about it. You can see the difference between the original photo and the edited one. Looks much better.

Recently, with the spread of High-Speed Internet, the use of torrents has also been increasing with time. Most of the people know how to use them and what they are but for those who are not aware of Torrents and their use, this is the best place they should be at.

A torrent is a small file and by small, I mean the files which are in KBs (Kilo-bytes). These files carry tons of data which flows through multiple computers. It is used as a sharing connection between more than one computer on a bigger scale. Torrents are downloaded/uploaded using BitTorrent Clients. Also known as software which are capable of performing actions related to Torrents and their use. We can either create torrents or open them. But how are torrents capable of storing so much data in just a couple of bytes? That is the question that arises in most of the beginners. And the answer to that is pretty simple.

There are two things that have quite an importance when dealing with torrents; Seeds and Peers. In terms of Torrents, Seeds are the computers which have the data stored in their computers and are uploading it for those who are downloading it, creating a shared environment between the computers. On the other hand, Peers are those who are downloading the data meaning that they are copying it over the internet from the Seeds. This leads us to the conclusion that when downloading a torrent, the bigger number of seeds there are, the better downloading speed you will get.

One thing should always be kept in mind when dealing with torrents, to get better downloading speed, always download a torrent with bigger number of seeds.

Moving on to our next topic, the Use of Torrents. Now there are many BitTorrent clients out there which can be used for this purpose but I’ll recommend uTorrent because its small, easy-to-use, and reliable. You can download it here for free. So how do we actually download a torrent? Just follow the steps

below.

Step 1: Download uTorrent. Click on the uTorrent Stable Download button on the page. After that, install it.

Step 2: Search and download the torrent from wherever you want to. Go to Step 3 after downloading it.

Step 3: Open uTorrent, and click on File Menu->Add Torrent. Select the Torrent you just downloaded. And it will start downloading it.

You can either pause the download whenever you want by pressing the pause button. And you’re done.

Note: Everything mentioned in this post, may not be 100% correct information, however, it is what I understand from it and I hope that it is helpful for you.

Nowadays, internet has become a necessity for people who want to chat with their family and friends, who want to study, and who want entertainment. Internet is everywhere these days. Especially in developing countries, compared with the last few months or years, the spread of internet has been massive. Almost everyone has this facility at their homes. With the help of High-Speed Internet provided by Telecommunication companies these days, everyone is able to stream or download large amounts of data in just a couple of minutes. One doesn’t need to go to a DVD Store to buy a movie when they can easily download it at their homes.

The problem that we face is that most of the people don’t understand what the person is saying by just listening. They need subtitles with the movie. Now the people who buy movies from any DVD Store don’t face this kind of problem because they have subtitles in the DVDs. But the ones who download them from the internet don’t have them. Most of the SD (Standard Definition) movies that we download are in .avi format. And the ones which are in HD (High-Definition) are in .mp4 or .mkv format. So the question is how do we add subtitles to the movies we download? It’s actually not that difficult because I found a way to do that a few years back.

Step 1: Find the subtitles of the movie. There are many sites where you can find subtitles but I use Subscene.com for this purpose.

Step 2: Search for the subtitles and download.

How to know which subtitles are for the movie you downloaded? Most of the movies have the name of the person who uploaded the movie. The name of that person is in the filename of the movie. For example “The.Dark.Knight[2008]DvDrip-aXXo.avi”. In this case the name of that person is aXXo because it is written after the name of the movie. So we’ll look for the subtitle that matches our filename.

Step 3: After you find the subtitle, click on it and the Download button will appear. Click on it to download.

Step 4: Extract the subtitle from the .rar or .zip file and put it in the same folder in which you have the movie.

Step 5: Copy the filename of the movie and replace the filename of the subtitle with it. For example in “The.Dark.Knight[2008]DvDrip-aXXo.avi” copy “The.Dark.Knight[2008]DvDrip-aXXo” and replace the filename of the subtitle. Now assume the filename of the subtitle is “The.Dark.Knight[2008]DvDrip.srt” then after we replace the filename, it should look like “The.Dark.Knight[2008]DvDrip-aXXo.srt”. In short, the filename of the movie and the subtitle should be the same e.g. the name of the movie is “abc.mp4″ then subtitle should be “abc.srt”.

Step 6: Play the movie in any player (Windows Media Player recommended) and you’re done. A few sample pictures are shown below.

In this we shall tell you how to suggest your page on Facebook to all of your friends in just a few seconds even if they are more than 5000. You don’t have to click on each and every friend to select him.

Just follow the following steps:

Stepwise Instructions:

eHowis | Step(1) Login to your account from which you are going to suggest the page to your friends.

eHowis | Step(2) Then go to the page that you are going to suggest to your all 5000+ friends. There are many ways to go to the page that you want to suggest. For example, if you want to suggest eHowis Facebook page to your friends you can go to eHowis page via URL “http://www.facebook.com/ehowis” or write “ehowis.com” in the search box at the top. As eHowis is my page i have another (third) way to go to eHowis i.e I shall go to “Account” at the top right corner and then to “Manage Pages” from where i can go to my page eHowis.

eHowis | Step(3) Now your page is opened. You can see “Suggest to Friends” on the top left below your DP (Display Picture).

eHowis | Step(4) When you will click “Suggest to Friends” you will see the list of your friends as below.

eHowis | Step(5) Now copy this javascript:fs.select_all(); paste it to your address bar and press enter your all friends will be selected even if they are 5000+ then click “Send Invitations” and the page will be suggested to all of your friends.
